Always hungry for new ideas, Giulia’s inspirations are found in art, fashion, and music.
Graduated with top grades Wimbledon College of Art in Costume Design in 2019, Gallon produces well-researched creative designs and quickly turns them into qualitative garments. Gallon`s style is theatrical: surprising volumes and bold colors are at the core of her creations. She is fond of creative pattern cutting, millinery, and anything structural that shapes the body unexpectedly.
She was the 2019 receiver of the Pinsent Masons Greencoat prize, and was concurrently awarded £5000 in support of her business plan. Thanks to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to social sustainability, she was one of the graduates selected by UAL to take part in its business incubator programme in 2020.
Giulia has since designed costumes for theatre, dance, circus, and regularly works at Royal Ballet and Opera as Assistant Costume Supervisor; as well as assisting costume designer Emma Kingsbury on a number of theatre projects including the Ring Cycle at La Scala, and Princess and the Pea for Joffrey Ballet, and Tulsa’s ballet upcoming production of Sleeping Beauty.
